Connecting students with the labor market, increasing mutual cooperation, contributing to the amendment of laws and administrative instructions, support in the field of agriculture as one of the most potential sectors of the country’s economy and the establishment of joint working groups, were some of the main issues which were discussed on the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Chamber of Doing Bussines in Kosova (CDBK) and the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
Through this Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding, the CDBK and the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine agree to establish a partnership in order to exchange and provide professional advice to businesses in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine, as well as to enable students of this faculty to follow professional practices at CDBK member businesses.
The Chairman of the CDBK Board, Skënder Krasniqi, in his introductory speech emphasized that the main reason for signing this Memorandum of Cooperation is to connect students with the labor market. Krasniqi also stressed that the mismatch between the needs of the labor market and that of production is the reason why young people are failing to find jobs.
While, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Prof.Dr. Bedri Dragusha thanked the Chamber of Doing Business in Kosova (CDBK) for the presence and initiation of the signing of this cooperation agreement. Dragusha, stressed that the signing of this Memorandum is the first and important step, thus wishing for cooperation and joint practical projects in the future.
Whereas, Prof.Assoc.Dr. Alltane Kryeziu, among others, expressed her concern about the small number of students who have applied this year in the Department that Kryeziu teaches.
The CDBK emphasized that the main purpose of signing this Memorandum is to link business with students and conversely, thus influencing the activation of the workforce and their employment, thus meeting the needs of businesses.
